Officers and Responsibilities
Guild Master
The GM is responsible for the guild as a whole, relying on the officers for the
day to day running of the guild. This guild is not run by the GM alone; no
decisions or changes may be made without discussion or consent from the other
officers.
The GM must ensure that the goals and direction of the guild are consistent and
visible to all. All players must be "real 88" and it is the GM's job
to make sure that they are.
In the matter of dispute resolution, especially between guild officers, the GM
has the final say.
Vice-GM
The Vice-GM is responsible for handling the duties of the Guild Master when (s)he is not available, especially if circumstances require an immediate action to deal with a situation (e.g. someone's account is hacked into). They also assist in managing the guild bank and other day-to-day functions. This role helps provide the flexibility to have matters taken care of efficiently and quickly, to help serve guild interests.
Guild Officers
Officers are the core of this guild and must all work together to run this
guild. No officer may make any "cowboy" changes without discussion
with other officers first.
At no time should an "officer's club" develop; the officer chat
channel and forums should only be used when necessary. Open and honest
communications are mandatory and decisions made by officers should be as
visible as possible to all guild members.
All officers have equal levels of authority and responsibility, however
officers with certain roles (e.g. run poster, class rep etc.) have the last say
in their area of responsibility. One officer should never make changes to
another officer's area of responsibility without consulting them / agreeing on
changes first.
The following are roles held by our officers:
Run Posting Officer
This officer will post the signup sheets for the following week's runs every
Sunday evening, server time. The signup sheet will be updated regularly.
This officer is also responsible for managing the raid scheduling i.e. deciding
run location and time. If any guild members have issues or suggestions
regarding the schedule, this officer is to review and implement or reject these
suggestions. This officer is also shares responsibility with the Raid Leader to make sure all DKP is posted quickly and accurately.
Class Officers
Class officers are responsible for the members of their class. Their main
duties: 1. Recruitement 2. Advice and guidance on equipment, playstyle, talents
etc. 3. Monitoring class member's performance, and providing guidance if
necessary 4. Promoting or booting initiates of their class. 5. Setting an example and being the voice of your respective class members.
