I haven't decided if I want to play either, I didn't really like the first one, it came too close to the zerg mentality of the first one and was too easy to win (against the AI, I didn't play against players, my hate for PVP runs very deep...wink)

You must have only played early starcraft one kev because there have been a few AI patches that will rape your face in. I played a little of SC2 beta it has its ups and downs but I want it just for the custom maps the user created content keeps me playing warcraft 3 still and that came out in 2003. The editor for SC2 is beyond amazing

If you haven't already pre-ordered it, Dell is selling SC2 for $45 ($15 off retail), plus free shipping.

SC2 is a must I personally loved the mini maps since they force the battles fairly quick. I've had mine reserved for a while now. Really looking forward to the campaigns & the new storyline.

Drooling, waiting for 1pm, and alternately waiting till I get home from work...smile Now no raid, no problem, melt some alien faces...smile

Apparently online play is a little gimp, but since the average 6 year old with access to the beta would kick my ass, not such a problem for me...smile
