this use to work very well so that people would not be too loud or to quite, since we have moved vent servers ive been having to mess around with 90% of peoples sound levels...
- Go to Setup
- Enable Direct Sound
- Select the SFX Button
- Select Compressor and click Add.
- Under Compressor Properties use the following settings
- Gain = Adjust for how loud you want people to be. (I use 15)
- Attack = 0.01
- Release = Around 500
- Threshold = Around -30
- Ratio = 100
- Pre delay = 4.0

headsets hurt my head... Esp for a raid that goes for 4 hours. it squashes my head and gives me headaches... Hence why I never talk on Vent, I'm very conscious of the feedback through my speakers which are very close to my mic (damn laptop)

The headset I am now using is a gaming headset from a little over 2 years ago...I can now hear, but unfortunately, because I talk so soft, unless I yell into my mic or max my outbound volume and blow everybody's eardrums, I can't speak. Trying to fix it. People don't usually read chat while in a boss encounter, so running assignments mid-fight is a nightmare, for things like, trying to tell a healer to blow cooldowns, etc.
